The IHT Penalty Regime applied in the finance act 2009 requires personal representatives to show reasonable care in assessing the extent of assets within a deceased’s estate. It is estimated that there is approximately £15billion in unclaimed wealth in the UK.
Grafton Asset Tracing Service provides executors and other personal representatives the opportunity to more fully check if a deceased person holds any deposits, investments or other cash based assets left out of a will. The service is also a crucial way to locate dormant assets resulting in intestacy cases. Unlike other services, GATS covers all main banks and building societies, National Savings, 80% of UK publicly listed companies and court funds.
The charge for the service is only £120 + VAT and is treated as a disbursement to the estate, payable by invoice upon delivery of the results.
GATS Application Simply download our instruction letter of authority using the pre scripted word document here and either scan or post it to Grafton (UK) Ltd along with a copy of the grant of probate.
